Ensuring the quality of products is a critical aspect of tire production and the automatic machines can help to reduce the number of scratched and defective tires during the production process.
The production of different types of tires, using various compounds, and adhering to allowable tolerances in the production processes necessitate the use of advanced technologies such as Laser Profilometry, Computer Vision, AI (Artificial Intelligence), and Neutral Network to detect and identify defects on the tires. These innovative technologies are implemented in the Vision Tire System 3D machine, enabling it to identify defects with objectivity, more accurately and at a faster rate than manual analysis, thus reducing the number of defective tires produced and minimizing waste. The Vision Tire System 3D machine performs the analysis of tires produced, detects defects present on the tires within a very short cycle time (30 seconds), creates a real-time database of defects, and communicates this data to the customer’s MES system, optimizing the production process and reducing the number of defective and scratched tires.
